This book will highlight the historic cottages of our seaside community and show how living in a small
house reveals opportunities for a simpler and richer lifestyle. These historic wooden structures have
survived for 90 some years, so that today they offer not only tropical living where the surroundings are as
important as the house, but a chance for owners to put their own artistic stamp on their abode.
Downsizing and living in smaller spaces is one of the main attractions for cottage dwellers in Lake Worth,
as is being part of a varied and vibrant community.
In addition to decorative and eclectic cottages, the book will feature interiors, yards and landscaping, storage ideas and the use of small spaces. We will have‘before and after’ examples of cottages, features on privacy in small yards, ideas for storage and indoor/outdoor spaces, as well as a background history showing how Lake Worth got the way it is and a celebration of the community today.
The book “Living Large in Small Spaces - The Cottages of Lake Worth” will be published In December 2015 and distributed locally and nationally.
